Methods and chemicals we use for cockroaches
Cockroach control fails when the only tool is a surface spray. The spray kills what it touches and repels the rest, which pushes the colony deeper into your walls. Our method combines three layers:
- Gel bait based on indoxacarb or fipronil — slow-acting on purpose, so cockroaches carry it back and share it. Gel is placed out of reach of children and away from food-contact surfaces.
- Residual crack-and-crevice treatment with a pyrethroid such as cypermethrin or bifenthrin, applied into gaps rather than across open counters.
- Drain treatment for floor traps and gully traps, which is where American cockroaches in Karachi usually enter from old sewer lines.

- Pull the fridge slightly forward if you can do it safely.
- Do not spray any market insecticide for a few days before or after, because it contaminates the gel and makes cockroaches avoid it.
After treatment, keep cleaning normally but avoid scrubbing the gel spots in hinges and gaps. If you see more cockroaches for a day or two, that is expected: the bait flushes them out before they die.
