Pest Control in Landhi, Karachi

Warehouses, factories and dense housing

Landhi sits between Korangi and Bin Qasim, with a large industrial area on one side and some of Karachi’s most densely populated neighbourhoods on the other:

• Landhi Industrial Area has warehouses, packaging units, food processors and engineering works — rodents and stored-product insects are the main risks.
• Transport and logistics yards along National Highway store goods that attract rats and birds.
• Landhi 1 to 6, Quaidabad and Dawood Chowrangi are densely built, with shared walls, narrow lanes and open drains that spread cockroaches and khatmal.
• Water storage in drums and tanks is common in homes here, and mosquitoes breed in it during the monsoon.

Many families work in the nearby factories, so owners sometimes include staff housing in their pest programme.

Warehouse programmes in Landhi

A typical Landhi warehouse programme:

1. Perimeter rodent stations along boundary walls and loading bays, numbered on a map.
2. Proofing of dock gaps, drain openings and roof edges.
3. Crawling-insect treatment of empty racking and floors between batches.
4. Fumigation of infested stock under sheets, with clearance before re-entry.
5. Monthly reports for owners and buyers.

For annual contracts see commercial pest control. Traders shipping from Port Qasim can combine this with container fumigation.
