Industrial pest control in SITE
SITE (Sindh Industrial Trading Estate) is Karachi’s oldest industrial estate, packed with textile units, garment factories, food processors, chemical plants and warehouses. Industrial sites need a different approach from homes:
- Rodents move in from drains, open plots and neighbouring units, and gnaw packaging, stock and wiring. Perimeter bait stations and sealed loading docks are essential.
- Canteens and staff kitchens feeding hundreds of workers attract German cockroaches and flies.
- Stored raw materials — cotton, grain, flour, packaging — attract stored-product insects and rodents.
- Audits by buyers and certification bodies require documented pest control with station maps and service records.
- Round-the-clock production means treatment has to fit shift patterns.
Korangi and Landhi industrial areas have their own pages: see Korangi Industrial Area and Landhi.
What a factory programme includes
| Zone | Treatment |
|---|---|
| Boundary and loading docks | Numbered, tamper-resistant rodent stations; proofing of dock gaps and drains |
| Production floors | Traps and monitors; no bait near products |
| Canteen and kitchens | Gel baiting, drain treatment, fly control |
| Warehouses and godowns | Crawling-insect treatment; fumigation of stored stock when needed |
| Offices | Pantry and washroom treatment |
After every visit you receive a service report, pest log and chemical record — the file export buyers and auditors ask for. Most SITE clients are on a monthly commercial pest control contract.
