Snake Control in Karachi

Pest Tech has provided snake control in Karachi since 2005 for homes, farmhouses and sites next to open plots in Malir, Scheme 33, Bahria Town and the Superhighway belt. We focus on safety first: clearing the rodents and cover that attract snakes, sealing the gaps they use, and advising you what to do — and not do — if a snake is inside.

Signs you have a snake problem

Snakes (saanp) come close to homes for food and shelter — usually rodents, frogs and cool hiding places. In Karachi most sightings happen during and after the monsoon, and on the edges of the city where construction disturbs open land.

  • A house or plot next to open land, bushes, a nala or a construction site
  • Rats or mice around the property — the main reason snakes come close
  • Shed snake skins in stores, boundary walls, garden beds or under stacked material
  • Frogs and toads gathering near water after rain
  • Piles of rubble, bricks, wood or tyres against walls
  • Gaps under gates, around drain openings and in boundary walls

Our snake treatment process

  1. 01

    Emergency guidance first

If a snake is inside, WhatsApp or call us. Keep everyone — especially children and pets — away, close the door to that room if it is safe, and watch from a distance. Do not try to catch or kill it.

  2. 02

    Property inspection

We check the boundary, garden, stores, drains and ground-floor openings for hiding places, entry gaps and signs of rodents.

  3. 03

    Habitat and food removal

We advise clearing rubble, long grass and stacked material from walls, and set up rodent control so snakes lose their reason to visit.

  4. 04

    Sealing and proofing

Gaps under gates and doors, drain openings and wall cracks are sealed with mesh, brush strips or sealant.

  5. 05

    Follow-up

We recheck rodent stations and proofing, especially before and after the monsoon.

What reduces snake visits (and what does not)

No treatment can honestly make a property "snake-proof". What reduces visits is making the property unattractive and harder to enter.

WorksWhy
Rodent controlRemoves the main food source
Clearing rubble, wood piles and long grassRemoves shelter near the house
Sealing gaps under gates and doorsBlocks easy entry
Mesh on drain openings and ventsCloses hidden routes
Lighting paths at nightHelps you see and avoid snakes
Does not work reliablyWhy
Phenyl, kerosene or naphthalene poured around the houseNo good evidence it repels snakes; harmful to people, pets and plants
Snake repellent powdersResults are inconsistent; do not rely on them
Killing snakesDangerous — most bites happen when people try to kill or catch a snake

If someone is bitten

Treat every snake bite as an emergency:

  1. Keep the person calm and still; remove rings and tight items near the bite.
  2. Go to the nearest hospital emergency department immediately.
  3. Do not cut the wound, suck it, apply ice or tie a tight tourniquet.
  4. If it is safe, take a photo of the snake from a distance — never try to catch it.

Homes near open land in Malir, Scheme 33 and Bahria Town benefit from combining snake-risk proofing with rodent control and pre-construction termite treatment during building.

Pests covered

  • Snakes near homes and plots
  • Rodents that attract snakes
  • Scorpions in rubble and stores

Safety for children, pets and food areas

  • We never ask you to approach, catch or kill a snake — keep people and pets away and call us.
  • Rodent bait is kept in locked stations; traps are placed away from children and pets.
  • We do not use phenyl, kerosene or other household chemicals as "repellents".
  • Where a snake needs to be removed, only trained handlers approach it; relocation is preferred where possible.
  • For any bite, go straight to a hospital emergency department.

How much does snake control cost in Karachi?

Snake-risk proofing is priced by the size of the property, the length of boundary to proof and whether rodent control is included. Emergency visits are quoted on the call. The final price is confirmed after inspection.

Every figure is an estimate until a free inspection confirms the scope of work.

Snake Control: frequently asked questions

Results are inconsistent and we do not recommend relying on them. Removing rodents and shelter and sealing gaps are what reduce snake visits.

There is no good evidence that phenyl, kerosene or naphthalene repel snakes, and they are harmful to people, pets and plants.

Keep everyone away, close the door to that room if it is safe, watch from a distance and call or WhatsApp us. Do not try to catch or kill it.

Keep the person still and calm and go to a hospital emergency department immediately. Do not cut, suck, ice or tightly tie the bite.

No one can honestly guarantee that. We make the property much less attractive and harder to enter, which reduces visits.
