How free WhatsApp guidance works

Many faults can be fixed at home in ten minutes once you know what to look for. Our first diagnosis on WhatsApp is free:

  1. Send the model — a photo of the machine and its label or brand plate.
  2. Send a 20-second video of the fault: the pump stroke, the spray pattern, the engine trying to start.
  3. We reply with a fix — step-by-step instructions, or the exact name of the part you need.
  4. Still not working? Book a drop-off at our shop and we take it from there.

For common problems you can also follow our troubleshooting guide.

Repair at our Karachi shop

Bring the machine to Shop #13-14, Al Hilal Co, B-30, Operative Housing Society, Karachi, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

  • Bring it clean and empty. Drain all chemical and triple-rinse the tank with clean water before you come — we cannot open machines that still contain pesticide.
  • We test it under pressure to find every fault, not only the obvious one.
  • You get a quote before we start — no work is done without your approval.
  • Turnaround is confirmed at drop-off; simple seal and valve jobs are often quick, engine work takes longer.
  • Spare parts we commonly fit: seals, piston cups, O-rings, nozzles, lances, spark plugs, carburettor kits and ignition coils, where available for your model.

Common problems we fix

Sprayer not building pressure

Usually a dry pump cup or a check valve jammed with sand. See the fix.

Sprayer leaking at the cap or pump

Twisted gaskets, unseated O-rings or a dirty relief valve. See the fix.

Nozzle clogged or spraying unevenly

Dried chemical in the tip or a blocked filter — never clear it with a pin. See the fix.

Mist blower won’t start

Old fuel, the wrong mix ratio, or a fouled plug. See the fix.

Thermal fogger won’t ignite, or drips and flames

Battery, fuel pressure, carbon build-up or too much solution flow. Won’t ignite · Drips or flames.

Termite or HTP pump losing pressure

Suction leaks, a blocked strainer or worn valves and seals. See the fix.

Maintenance tips that prevent most repairs

  • Rinse after every use. Run clean water through the tank, pump, hose and lance at the end of each day.
  • Never store chemical in the tank. It attacks seals and crystallises in valves and nozzles.
  • Lubricate pump seals with a non-water-soluble grease so they do not dry out and crack.
  • Clean filters in the tank opening, lance and handle regularly.
  • Use clean water. Sand and silt from unfiltered water are the number one cause of jammed check valves.
  • Mix 2-stroke fuel correctly at the ratio in your machine’s manual, and use fresh fuel.
  • Run foggers dry of solution before shutdown so the fog tube and nozzle do not clog.
  • Store out of the sun. Karachi heat hardens plastic tanks and rubber seals.
  • Do a pre-season check before the monsoon and dengue season, when you will need the machine most.

Safety when working on sprayers and foggers

  • Depressurise before opening any tank, pump, hose or lance fitting.
  • Wear PPE — gloves and eye protection — because residues of concentrated chemical stay inside machines.
  • Never repair a fogger while it is hot; the resonator stays hot long after shutdown.
  • Dispose of rinse water safely, away from drains, water tanks, fish ponds and gardens.

The manufacturer’s own guidance is useful too — see, for example, Solo’s sprayer repair support page.
